LaLiga and Dorna team up to combat audiovisual piracy

first_imgLaLiga and Dorna Sports have reached an agreement which will make the LaLiga technology content protection department provide its services to the protection of the audiovisual rights of the championships administered by Dorna Sports and thus strengthen their commitment to the fight to protect the distribution of legal content, in collaboration with television operators and digital platforms. So, LaLiga will use its own tools to monitor and eliminate illegal audiovisual content from MotoGP and Superbike World Cups hosted on social networks, digital platforms and mobile applications, in addition to those fake profiles that make fraudulent use of the Dorna Sports logo and name and all those related to the championships organized by Dorna. LaLiga’s human, technical and legal resources will be used to “monitor and de-index” those pages that use illegal Dorna Sports content of search engines since the tools created by the LaLiga Content Technology Protection team also allow the monitoring, search and collection of legal evidence to combat illegal transmissions through “IPTV” and “Cardsharing”.
