first_imgLiving a purity lifestyle.Importance and true meaning of the Blessing, along with how to prepare for it.A deeper understanding of True Parents and their life course.Living for the sake of others.Taking on more responsibility.A deeper connection to the DP and the Principles of Restoration. The workshop program began with a variety of icebreakers designed to get the participants to feel more comfortable within the group. The participants were then divided into four teams with Team Leaders being: Pierre Moreau, Emily McInerheney, Rebecca Bell, and Youngmin Yoo. The teams were encouraged to build their team unity through sports, a game night filled with fun bonding activities, and deepening their bond through sharing in team discussions.Overall, the experience was well balanced with internal and external programs, with the internal highlight being the prayer night on the 3rd day of the workshop. External highlights included interactive activities towards the beginning of the workshop, as well as the campfire and skit performances on the last night of the workshop. This winter workshop was a meaningful and memorable experience for both participants and staff. We were especially grateful to have had the support of the community in the form of heaters and food which warmed our feet, bellies, and hearts.Thank you for all the support, trust, and love. It was through the collaboration and contribution of members that this workshop was a great success! by Ahjeong, Emily, and Pierre, FFWPU AustraliaThe annual Australia Winter Workshop for 2018 was held in Ingleside Scout Camp this year from Sunday 8th of July to Thursday 12th of July. There were a total of 16 participants: 4 team leaders, 4 staff, Ahjeong Yoo as director and coordinator, Ken Schmittat as Lecturer, Reverend SoonTeck Lim (national leader) as Workshop Parent and Co-director, and Kwon Myung Stone as Kitchen Staff. The theme of the workshop was called “Born Creators: Legacy we will inherit”, and was designed to be a foundational workshop for True Parents life course, Divine Principle, and Blessing Introduction. The internal content of the workshop was delivered by Ken Schmittat and Ahjeong Yoo—two 2nd generation speakers—along with Reverend Lim. The guidance was designed to follow the journey of understanding our identity, purpose, and the principle as Blessed Children.Ken’s lectures were broken up into three parts of the DP; Principles of Creation, the Fall, and Principles of Restoration, along with a talk about the meaning and value of the blessing and his own personal testimony. Although the participants were of varying familiarity with the principle (some having attended many DP workshops and some having had no experience with the content at all), the engaging delivery of the content and the discussion of the team meetings were very helpful in breaking down the ideas for all attending. Many noted that they especially enjoyed the content about the Principles of Creation out of all these lectures.Ahjeong and Reverend Lim supplemented the education with content based on relating with True Parent with hyojeong, understanding the spiritual world, the value of lineage, and the role and responsibility of Second Generation and Blessing preparation.Below were some takeaways that the participants noted were important for them:The meaning and importance of Filial Piety.Improving the relationship with their parents, TP, and God.Understanding God’s pain.
