The new platform, whose application for computers should be officially introduced in October, and for mobile phones in 2020, offers users the opportunity to earn commissions by recommending friends to stay in Standard International accommodation units and other independent hotels. Source / photo: Shift; One Night In a move to get rid of the strengthening power that online travel agencies have over the process of booking accommodation, One Night, a subsidiary of Standard International, is launching an application based on recommendations, Skift reports. From One Night, they say the idea is to make users feel like travel agents, similar to how Airbnb made it possible for hosts and Uber for drivers. In March, the company announced the receipt of a $ 5 million investment from the aforementioned SwaN & Venture Legend. The startup was launched in 2016, and today it has more than 250 hotels in 19 cities around the world available on its platform. The offer is expected to increase to 300 properties by the end of the year. The initiative has already been invested by SwaN & Legend Venture Partners, which normally invests in technology brands, said Jimmy Suh, president and co-founder of One Night. Some of the more significant investments of the mentioned company include Airbnb and Pinterest.
